Motorists in the Oldtown/Rockhill area of Letterkenny will be faced with diversions from Monday onwards as a new road closure is implemented.
A section of the Rockhill Road from the junction at Greyrock/Nestles Road leading to the roundabout at the Oldtown Bridge will be closed to traffic from Monday 12th November to 5th March 2020.
The 16-week closure is in place to facilitate Irish Water works as part of the Letterkenny Sewerage Scheme.
Donegal County Council has confirmed that local traffic will be accommodated during this phase.
Diversions will be in place for traffic to take alternative routes:
Traffic approaching from Newmills/Glenswilly on the Rockhill Road going to Town Centre will be directed via Greyrock Road onto Father McLoone Terrace onto Oldtown Bridge.
