Letterkenny University Hospital is Ireland’s second most overcrowded hospital today after 51 patients were recorded waiting on a bed this morning.
The INMO trolley watch figures showed that 17 sick patients were awaiting admission on trolleys and a further 34 were waiting in overflow wards.
The hospital’s Emergency Department has seen significant overcrowding in recent weeks, with the Full Capacity Protocol implemented on numerous occasions.
The University Hospital of Limerick was Ireland’s most overcrowded today, where 60 people were recorded waiting on beds.
