Listen: Man of the Match Peadar Mogan hails ‘massive’ title win for St Naul’s

PEADAR Mogan hailed yesterday’s Under-21 ‘B’ final triumph as ‘massive’ for St Naul’s.

The Mountcharles men bridged a 20-year gap as they defeated Termon 0-14 to 1-7 with Mogan swinging over eight inspirational points.

It caps a super year for St Naul’s, who also won the Intermediate Championship.

“We’re a club on the rise,” Mogan told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.

“It’s a really good year. We want to be a senior club now for as long as we can.”

After losing in the last two finals, against MacCumhaills and Milford, St Naul’s set the tone at O’Donnell Park and never looked in much doubt.

Mogan said: It’s massive. We played really well. We controlled the game. It’s a massive way to finish off some of the underage careers.

“This is the first county title we’ve won in the 1998 age group so it meant an awful lot and the past two years hurt a lot. We knew coming down the stretch if we were there or thereabouts that we could hold out.”
