Thousands of Bank of Ireland customer have been left without key services today following an IT outage.

Online banking, the 365 app, some card services and Bank of Ireland ATMs are reportedly out of action.

Bank of Ireland has apologised to customers for the inconvenience and said urgent repairs are underway.

A statement said: “BOI is aware that some channels are currently out of service. We’re working to rectify this ASAP and will provide further updates as soon as we can. Credit cards are working as normal and point-of-sale transactions are an option too. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.”

This is the second day that BOI customers have reported issues with their accounts and services, with some complaining that the problems began on Wednesday night.
