Life is just one exciting whirlwind of great fun for Rathmullan’s ‘Little Drummer Boy’ Finlay Sheridan.

Just 24 hours after his amazing performance on The Late Late Toy Show, young Finlay (7) was playing to his ‘adoring fans’ at the Mulroy College Prom in the Silver Tassie.

And he’s been chosen as the Garda mascot to drum with ‘ his heroes’ in the guards’ official parade at Rathmullan’s Special Olympics Polar Plunge with GAA pundit Joe Brolly, next Saturday from 12.30pm.

Nothing fazes this wee man from Drumhalla.

Finlay Sheridan ready to rock at the Late Late Toy Show

After getting back from Dublin on Saturday, he headed for his first gig at Prom.

And he got an amazing welcome from the crowd who chanted his name – many who are neighbours of the wee rock star in Rathmullan – such is the pride that everyone feels for this wee superstar.

But Finlay’s even more excited for his next big gig – as the Garda mascot at Rathmullan’s Polar Plunge for Special Olympics, this Saturday December 7.

‘Since he was a toddler, all he’s wanted to be is a Guard. So he was delighted when he was asked to drum the guards down the Pier on the day. He’s so excited’, said mum Rachel.

All the Polar Plunge fun kicks off at 12.30pm and Santa will arrive by helicopter at 2pm.

GAA pundit Joe Brolly will be among the brrrave plungers who will jump into the Chilly Swilly and be get freezin for a reason.

In fact, Joe will be getting thrown in by the person who raises the most funds.

Highland Radio will be broadcasting live on the day and at 4.30pm Rathmullan’s Christmas Lights will be turned on by Minister Joe McHugh.

Then young Finlay will perform live with dad Daniel and big brother Evan in their band ‘My Generation’.

It’s going to be a fantastic day in Rathmullan – thanks to their ‘Little Drummer Boy’.
