TOM Hennessy felt that St Eunan’s were fully deserving of their win in yesterday’s U21 hurling final – but praised the new teams who are beginning to emerge in Donegal.

St Eunan’s took the prize after seeing off Dungloe at Hibernian Park.

“We’re very pleased,” he told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.

“Dungloe pulled off the surprise of the championship, beating Buncrana. They’re a very young team and they will come.

“We knew that we had to be at our best, settle ourselves early, which we did. I thought our lads played some great hurling.”
