A lucky Donegal punter is over €16,000 richer today after landing a stunning football bet on Wednesday night.

The anonymous backer placed a €10 accumulator on this week’s games with the bet consisting of the following selections: Leicester to beat Watford 2-0 (13/2), Chelsea to beat Aston Villa 2-1 (15/2), Manchester United to beat Tottenham 2-1 (8/1) and Liverpool to beat Everton and both teams to score (15/8).

The lucky run of results meant the punter was able to log back into their online account and see that their €10 bet turned into a stunning amount of €16,495.31.

Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “This was a stunning handful of selections from one of our Donegal customers and hats off to them for calling them all right.

“It didn’t require a massive stake but they’re walking off with over €16,000 and we hope they enjoy splashing out.”
