‘Tis the season to support Letterkenny’s annual Christmas Dinners

A kind-hearted team of volunteers is once again preparing to host free Christmas Day and New Years Day dinners for those alone.

The popular event is greatly appreciated by many people in the community who enjoy attending for food, entertainment and good company at Christmastime.

Letterkenny woman Kathy O’Connor and her volunteers spend their Christmas Day ensuring that those alone have a happy time, spent with others. In 2018, Kathy realised that the annual New Year’s Day dinner for those alone was not going ahead so she decided to undertake this event too.

The events are kindly sponsored by the Radisson Blu Hotel Letterkenny and the Conwal Parish Church also offers space for the festivities.

Letterkenny Chamber, thanks to the generosity of its members, gathers the food, gifts and treats necessary to make this day a success.

They are now inviting local businesses and people to donate what they can – monetary donations, sweets, gifts, minerals, napkins etc. are all needed for this year’s dinners.

If you are in a position to assist, please contact Anne Condon at the Letterkenny Chamber on 0749124866 or email anne@letterkennychamber.com
