A weather advisory has been issued nationwide for strong winds and downpours in the aftermath of Storm Atiyah.
With structures and trees already weakened from gusts on Sunday, Met Eireann is warning that there is a risk of damage when the weather turns again this Tuesday.
The weather advisory affects all counties from 4am – 4pm on Tuesday.
The alert said: “Tuesday will be a blustery day with strong winds and very gusty conditions associated with an active front moving eastwards across the country.
“Generally, winds will be below warning thresholds but damage to some structures and trees, already weakened from the effects of Storm Atiyah, is possible.
“Rain and showers will be heavy at times as well, especially in Atlantic coastal counties.”
