A man has been arrested after gardaí raided a suspected drugs grow house near Mountcharles in Donegal.
The discovery was made on Friday last, when the District Drugs Unit, the Regional Support Unit and local gardaí carried out a search on a property in the Mountcharles area.
A man, who had been sought by gardaí for drugs offences since 2015, was subsequently arrested.
“It would appear that a grow house was being set up due to the amount of equipment etc. discovered,” said a garda statement.
The incident has prompted gardaí to warn landlords about renting properties to criminals who intend to turn them into hidden drug production labs.
“We would like to urge landlords to be extremely careful when renting /letting property and please always vet any potential tenants well.”
