The PSNI in Strabane have been made aware of a male in the Castlederg/Killeter area calling at homes claiming to be conducting surveys on behalf of a local University.

The male is described as being in his 50’s with grey hair and possibly driving a dark coloured vehicle.

If anyone has had a call of this nature please do not hesitate to give PSNI Strabane a ring on 101 quoting reference 1749 of 02/12/19 with any information no matter how irrelevant you may believe it seems.
The PSNI said these incidents are being investigated.

“In general, anyone calling at your home in circumstances like these will have no issues producing ID cards so don’t be afraid to ask for it,” said an officer.
