Daniel and Margo O’Donnell’s Christmas concert show was TG4’s most-watched programme of Christmas 2019, it has been revealed.
The ‘Opry le Daniel’ show saw Daniel and Margo reunited on stage at the Millenium Forum for a festive special, which aired on Christmas Eve.
The programme attracted an average audience of 83,000, making it TG4’s highest viewership of the holiday season.
TG4 was the 6th most watched television station in Ireland in 2019, and had a share of 2.7% on average over Christmas. The Irish language channel had a daily reach of 569,000 and an overall reach of almost 2 million viewers.
The deferred coverage of Leinster v Munster on ‘Rugbaí Beo’ on December 28th was the 2nd most watched programme over Christmas with an average viewership of 81,000 and 7% share of the audience.
