A status yellow weather warning has been put in place for seven counties including Donegal as winds of up to 100 kph are set to hit Irish coastlines.
The four counties affected by the first wind warning are Donegal, Galway, Mayo and Kerry.
The weather warning will come into place at midnight tonight and stay in place until 8am tomorrow morning (Mon).
The weather warning reads: “Status Yellow – Wind warning for Donegal, Galway, Mayo and Kerry.
“Southerly winds will reach mean speeds of 50 to 65 km/h with occasional gusts of 90 to 100 km/h.”
A further warning has been put in place for Wexford, Cork and Waterford.
The warning will come into place at 3am on Monday and will finish at 11 am.
Met Eireann said: “Status Yellow – Wind warning for Wexford, Cork and Waterford.
“In coastal areas, southerly winds will reach mean speeds of 50 to 65 km/h with occasional gusts of 90 to 100 km/h.”
According to Met Eireann, tomorrow will be a wet and windy day, but rain will clear up as the evening progresses.
