Will Cupid’s arrow strike for Ashley on First Dates Ireland?

A young Donegal woman is about to let cameras film her blind date in the new series of First Dates Ireland this week. Ashley Pye (25) from Killygordan is one of the first singletons to appear on the RTE dating show in 2020. She will be bravely allowing the nation to eavesdrop on her dinner date with Eric (24), who is an animation student from Limerick. The programme, which airs on Thursday, will see Eric worrying that his stammer might ruin his date. But, according to a preview from RTE, it seems romance knows no such impediment. The First Date diners will be back in the restaurant under the watchful eye of Maitre’D Mateo, master-mixologist Ethan – ably assisted by Alice, Pete and Libby. This week will also have a first for the restaurant, with twin double daters Mary and Martina (45) from Limerick. With everyone in the restaurant on a blind date, nerves are always running high, but Ashley will have Donegal cheering her on as she takes the risk for romance.
