Cycle Way and footpath to be extended all the way to Letterkenny

The Government has allocated €300,000 to extend the Cycle Way and Footpath from Illistrin to Letterkenny.

The new path from Illistrin to Kilmacrennan is already proving to be hugely popular with walkers and cyclists since it officially opened it last year.

Minister Joe McHugh said “The extension will create a new Cycle and Foot Path all the way from Letterkenny to Kilmacrennan, creating a safe zone for families.

“I’m grateful to Transport Infrastructure Ireland and the Donegal County Council National Roads Office team for their support for the Cycle Way project.”
