Motorists are being urged to drive with care and be on alert for fallen trees as Storm Brendan hits today (Monday).

A tree which fell on the Main Road at Magherabeg Primary school, Manorcunningham, has been dealt with.

Emergency services are en route to a fallen tree on the N3 outside Ballyshannon on the Belleek side.

Another fallen tree is blocking the road at Ballyare, Milford.

There is a telegraph pole hanging over the N15 at Kiltown, between Liscooley and Killygordon.

There is also a tree down between Convoy and Raphoe.

Gardaí in Donegal warned: “Please be careful out on the roads and watch out for falling debris. Drive slowly as you do not know what could be on the road when you travel around a bend!”

Meanwhile, ESB Network are warning people to never approach fallen trees, as there could be fallen wires that could be live and dangerous. Instead, call 1850 372 999.
