Three of Donegal’s best-known design and textile companies enjoyed major success at Showcase Ireland on Sunday.

Showcase Ireland is one of Ireland’s largest international trade fairs, bringing together the best of Ireland’s design and craft sector.

And three Donegal companies are already marking the event as a 2020 triumph after winning top awards and commendations in the exhibition.

Studio Donegal – Winner of Overall Best Product and Best Fashion Award

Studio Donegal scooped the ‘Overall Best Product Award’ with their shirt jacket. This is the second year in a row that Studio Donegal has won in this category as well as the Showcase Best Product Award in the fashion category.

Studio Donegal’s woollen mill, situated in the village of Kilcar in the heart of Donegal, maintains the tradition of handweaving, spinning and garment making.

Donegal town’s Magee 1866 were highly commended in the Showcase Best Product fashion category for their Ladies Herringbone Tweed coat.
