Met Eireann has issued a new weather warning tonight as heavy snow showers accumulate in areas across the county.
Main routes and local roads have been affected by snow and motorists are being urged to slow down and take extra care.
A Status Yellow Snow/Ice warning is in place for all counties from 10pm tonight until midday Tuesday.
Forecasters warned: “Hazardous conditions in places overnight and Tuesday morning due to compacted snow and ice. Further snow showers also, heaviest in the southwest, west and north.”
Donegal County Council gritters have been out again on all main routes from 9pm.
The AA roadwatch is also reminding drivers that “it can take up to ten times longer to stop in ice or snow, so slow down and leave extra space to brake.”
