Update: 10.20am ESB Networks reports that power has been restored to all areas in Donegal.

Almost 900 homes and businesses in Glenties are still without electricity this Wednesday morning following an outage.

The power cut, which affected over 2,000 early this morning, occurred at 5.30am.

Power has since been restored to around 1,100 homes and ESB networks say that 892 homes are still affected.

Repair crews are currently working on the fault, however it is not yet known when supply will be fully restored.

Meanwhile, 221 properties in Moville have also been without power this morning. Supplies are expected to return to half of the properties near Gleneely by 11am while other parts of Gleneely and Moville may have to wait until midday or after for electricity to fully return.

Updates are available on www.esb.ie/esb-networks/powercheck
