FINN Valley AC had a successful outing at the Ulster Intermediate and Masters Cross Country at Armagh Saturday.

Finn Valley won the masters men provincial title with a strong team return led by Patrick Brennan in third with additional scorers Dermot McElchar, Shane McNulty and John McElhill – a performance that will give this squad confidence approaching nationals on February 8th.

It has been six years since Valley last won the ulster intermediate but the squad on duty Saturday closed in a winning combination with lead runner Leoni Mullen in fourth and Kathleen McNulty, Aine Donnelly and Cassie Lagan on board.

In the masters women race Kay Byrne won her age category, continuing to run well.

Next up is the ulster underage indoor champs next weekend with large numbers involved.

The Glenmore 10 hosted by the club in February is now closed having reached the race limit .
