Tree-mendous idea carved out of fallen trees at popular Donegal beauty spot!

A local community group has carved out a wonderful idea after a number of large trees were blown down by the recent Storm Brendan.

In fact, you could say it’s a tree-mendous idea.

Many walk the stunning works in Glenboe at the back of the Twin Towns.

But instead of simply clearing away fallen trees, locals decided to call upon chainsaw carver Gintas Poderys to come up with a few artistic ideas.

And the results are something quite stunning.

Gintaus got to work and the fruits of his labour is now there for all to see.

The talented sculptor has come up with an array of wood carvings depicting bears and squirrels and other animals.

Drumboe Woods was well worth a visit before but they’re even more attractive now.
