GOALKEEPER Jimmy McElwaine stepped up with a last-minute penalty save as Kilmacrennan Celtic moved within three points of Premier Division leaders Cappry Rovers.

McElwaine saved a spot kick in last weekend’s 4-1 win over Bonagee and he repeated the trick here to secure a big three points for the Lurgy men – who twice came from behind.

A double by Chris Dillon had Kilmac’ in front when McElwaine saved late in the day to keep the three points.

Donegal took the lead on 30 minutes, but Mark Friel then equalised for Kilmacrennan.

The teams went in at half time 1-1 before Donegal took the lead again on 55 minutes.

Chris Dillon equalised within a couple of minutes and Dillon put Kilmac’ in front on 75 minutes.

Donegal were awarded a penalty on 90 minutes but the home goalkeeper made his second penalty save in as many weeks for Kilmacrennan.
