Watch: See the highlights as Donegal overpower Meath in Navan

Michael Murphy scored one penalty and missed another as Donegal overcame Meath 3-8 to 0-7 in Navan – and here’s the highlights.

The Donegal captain was denied from his first effort by Marcus Brennan, but he fired home the second to give Donegal a 2-2 to 0-4 half-time lead.

Murphy was thwarted by Brennan – just drafted into the panel this week – after Jamie Brennan was fouled by Robin Clarke.

Donegal’s opening goal came on 27 minutes as Odhrán McFadden-Ferry netted his first goal for the county, smashing home after being picked out by Jamie Brennan’s pass.

Two minutes later, Murphy riffled home after Ryan McHugh was taken down by Conor McGill, who went to the sin bin for his troubles.

Just four minutes into the second half, Donegal were home and hosed. McHugh’s pace opened up the possibilities and he centred for Michael Langan to palm home.
