Don’t be alarmed if you see flares on a Donegal beach tonight

Killybegs Coast Guard is advising the public not to be alarmed if they see flares coming from Fintra beach tonight.

The organisation will be conducting a live pyrotechnics exercise on the beach from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

So if you see bright flames at this location at this time, rest assured it’s not an emergency.

The exercise will only be operated on Fintra Beach.

Elsewhere, if in doubt, members of the public who see someone in trouble at sea or on the cliffs or coast can contact 112/999 and ask for the Coast Guard.
