DONEGAL athletics star Brendan Boyce will be on The Late Late Show tonight.

Boyce has qualified for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo and will be interviewed on the Late Late tonight by Ryan Tubridy.

Finn Valley AC’s Boyce previously competed in the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games in London and Rio.

The Milford native finished a remarkable sixth place in the men’s 50k race walk at the 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championships in Doha, coming through the piercing temperatures to finish in four hours, seven minutes and 46 seconds.

Boyce has made no secret of his desire to bring an Olympic medal back to Donegal.

After being named the 2019 Donegal Sports Star of the Year last Friday, Boyce said: “The biggest thing in my head is to bring something like that back to Donegal because it’s never been achieved before. To break that barrier is a real motivation and it inspires me to get everything right.”
