Gardaí in Milford last night on patrol stopped a driver who tested positive for the presence of cannabis.
A controlled substance was also seized.
Gardaí then executed a drugs warrant at the driver’s place of residence. Further drug paraphernalia was seized.
A Garda spokesman said “Please do not drive under the influence of illegal drugs. You really are putting your life and that of others in serious danger.”
The latest comes as Gardai crackdown on drug drivers with nine alleged offenders caught last week in the Letterkenny District.
Four of these were apprehended on Thursday afternoon last driving while under the influence of drugs in broad daylight.
