Donegal County Council is preparing to grit all main roads this evening ahead of another night of wintry conditions.
Rain, hail, sleet and snow are all forecast for tonight (Tuesday) along with freezing temperatures.
Met Eireann has forecast lows of -1 to 2C in the north west tonight.
A Status Yellow snow/ice warning remains in place nationwide until midnight. A wind warning is also in place for Donegal and western counties until 8pm.
The council has confirmed that all routes will be gritted from 4PM on Tuesday.
