THERE is Donegal interest again this weekend at the National Senior Cadet Championships in Dublin.

Four Donegal boxers go through the ropes this weekend in quarter-finals.

This evening, Illies Golden Gloves’ Jason Lynch meets Gerard Delaney of Bunclody at 42kgs while, at 44kgs, Cormac Hall from Dunfanaghy takes on St Colman’s Oisin Worsencroft.

Tomorrow, Dunree’s Brenda Collins (pictured) faces Georgia McGovern from Drimnagh at 50kgs with Dunfanaghy’s Bernie McDonagh going against Luke Hall (Rochfordbridge) at 54kgs.

Next weekend, European Junior bronze medallist Carleigh Irving from Illies faces Siofra McGuire (Tobar Pheadair) in a 48kgs semi-final.

Meanwhile, the weigh-ins for the eagerly anticipated 2020 Ulster Elite Championships will be held in the Devenish Complex in Belfast this Sunday, February 16, followed by the draw and a press conference.

Boxing will take place at the Devenish on Tuesday, February 18, Wednesday, February 19 and Thursday, February 20.

The iconic Ulster Hall will host the finals on Tuesday, February 25 (8pm).

It is expected that there will be entries from Donegal boxers for these Championships.
