A status yellow wind warning has been issued for tomorrow from 3a.m. until 8p.m. for Donegal.

Met Éireann are forecasting very strong winds.

“Very squally Southerly winds veering Southwesterly with mean speeds 50 to 65 km/hr gusts to around 100 km/hr, strongest on exposed coasts and hills.

“Winds moderating from the Northwest later.”

A yellow rainfall warning is also in place for Donegal from 6a.m. to 9p.m. Saturday.

Met Éireann has said heavy rainfall is expected.

“Spells of heavy, locally thundery rain, on Saturday will lead to some flooding.

“Storm Dennis is forecast to track to the north of Ireland and the UK over the weekend.

“It will likely bring periods of very wet and windy weather, with some stormy conditions possible, particularly later Sunday into Monday.”
