An article was published yesterday concerning the termination payments being made to former Deputy Pat the Cope Gallagher, this piece was first published in the Irish Times edition of Thursday 13th February.
The Irish Times newspaper has now acknowledged that the article they published was inaccurate and totally incorrect in terms of content and substance.
They have apologised to Pat the Cope Gallagher and they regret the stress caused to him and his wife Ann.
