Picture special: McShane is special guest as Termon host annual awards function

TYRONE STAR Cathal McShane was the special guest on Saturday night as Termon GAA Club held their annual presentation function.

McShane has committed to Tyrone for 2020 having been linked with a move to Aussie Rules in recent weeks.

The Owen Roes ace was the special guest at The Lagoon as Termon toasted another successful year.

In 2019, Termon reached the Ulster senior ladies and Ulster minor tournament finals.

The senior ladies won Donegal SFC and Donegal Gaeltacht titles while the minor boys scooped a county title.

List of recipients

Minor Boys, 2019: County Division 1A champions, All-County Division 1 runners up. Ulster final runners up.

Senior Ladies, 2019: County champions, Gaeltacht winners, Ulster runners up.

Senior Ladies player of the year: Geraldine Mclaughlin

Young senior ladies player of the year: Chelsea Gorman

Senior men’s player of the year: Oisin Cassidy

Young senior men’s player of the year: Ryan McFadden

U21’s, county runner up. 

Reserve player of the year: Jimmy Mc Elwaine

Young reserve player of the year: Kieran Black

Gold mark awards certificates (for volunteering in the club, an Ulster Gaa initiative): Nathan McElwaine, Lucy O’Flynn, Emer Gallagher, Orla Corry, Nicole McLaughlin

Long term service awards: Patrick Hilferty, James Trearty, Kevin McCafferty snr, Benny Trearty

Senior Donegal representation 2019.Roisin Friel, Shannon McLaughlin, Evelyn McGinley, Emer Gallagher, Geraldine McLaughlin, Nicole McLaughlin

Special recognition awards: Johnny McCafferty – All-Ireland Masters winner 2019; Harry McGlynn – service to the ladies board; Maura Friel – upkeep of dressing rooms; Joe Kelly – pitch and grounds upkeep; Eileen McDaid – Kitchen staff; Ellen Callaghan – service to the minor Board.
