A BURNFOOT man detected speeding at almost 170 kilometres per hour in an 80km zone has appeared in court.
Graeme Craig (31) of Rockstown was charged with dangerous driving in relation to the incident at Magherabeg, Burnfoot, on August 4, 2017.
Defending solicitor, Mr Frank Dorrian, said his client was detected doing 168 kph in an 80 kph zone on the day in question.
Craig was also charged with careless driving and drink driving at Lisfannon, Buncrana, on June 3 the same year.
Mr Dorrian said he had received disclosure from the prosecution, however, he was seeking further information in relation to both charges.
Judge Paul Kelly adjourned both matters to the March sitting of Buncrana District Court.
