Listen: Westmeath clash is ‘must win’ – Maxi Curran

MAXI Curran says the Donegal ladies’ clash with Westmeath on Sunday is ‘must win’.

Donegal take on Westmeath at St Loman’s 3G in their latest Division 1 fixture.

Following a home loss to Galway two weeks ago, Curran is eager to avoid defeat this weekend to stave off the threat of relegation.

“We were very naive against Galway and we lacked a real punch going forward,” the Donegal manager told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.

“We attacked on auto-pilot and we brought very little in terms of graft or guile. Galway were more streetwise. We ran out of ideas.

“We’ll be the better for it going to Westmeath this week. I’d like to think that if we got the scores on the board again that we’d be able to see it out.

“What we want to see are improvements and if we make those improvements I think we’ll get over the line.”
