Gardai are investigating a serious alleged sexual assault which took place in a bar in Letterkenny.
The attack happened on Sunday week last.
Gardai investigated the allegation and a man was arrested a short time later.
A spokesperson for the Garda press office confirmed a man was arrested in connection with the incident.
A spokesperson said “Gardaí are investigating an alleged incident of sexual assault that is believed to have occurred in a licensed premises in Letterkenny on the 9th February 2020.
“A male was arrested in relation to the incident and later released without charge. A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.”
