Donegal County Council is preparing gritters to treat a large number of main roads tonight ahead of another cold and unsettled night.
Met Eireann is forecasting temperatures to drop to between 1 and 3 degrees Celsius in the north west tonight. There is a risk of sleet and possibly snow on high ground, according to forecasters, and there will be outbreaks of rain later with some persistent, and at times, heavy falls, which will occur with spot flooding in areas.
A Status Yellow wind warning is in place for Donegal until 8pm tonight.
Sunday will see a Status Yellow rainfall warning taking effect in Donegal from 8pm until 8am on Monday morning.
Gritters will be out on the following routes from 8pm tonight:

- 04: Inishowen South
- 05: Inishowen East
- 06: Inishowen West
- 07: Milford South
- 08: Milford North
- 09: Cill Ulta East
- 12: Binswilly
- 13: Stranorlar North
- 14: Stranorlar East
- 15: Stranorlar West
- 17: Donegal North
- 18: Donegal South
- LT: Letterkenny Town
- BT: Buncrana Town Council
