Listen: Declan Bonner reflects on disappointment of Croke Park loss

DECLAN Bonner admitted his disappointment as Dublin toppled his Donegal last night at Croke Park.

Donegal led by five points at one stage, but paid a price for spurned chances when Paul Mannion’s goal gave the Dubs the edge.

“It probably swung on those goal opportunities we didn’t take and we were punished with a mistake at the other end,” Bonner told Ocean FM’s Paddy McGill.

“It’s disappointing for the effort and commitment that they showed.

“We started well and were five ahead playing really good football. Dublin were always going to come back. We felt we should have been more ahead at half-time.”
