Listen: Curran says Westmeath loss was ‘one of the poorest’ days of his tenure

MAXI Curran admits that defeat in Westmeath leaves his Donegal ladies in a ‘precarious position’.

Donegal lost out yesterday in Mulligar on a disappointing afternoon at the office.

Despite Amy Boyle-Carr netting a goal in the first minute, Donegal couldn’t build as Westmeath recorded a first win in 10 months.

“It was one of the poorest days out since I’ve been in the job,” Curran told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.

“We had ample scoring opportunities. We kicked five bad wides at the end of the first half and we didn’t have enough graft or guile. You won’t get away with that in Division 1.

“It puts us in a very precarious position now in Division 1. We’re fighting for our lives.”
