Many parts of Donegal have been blanketed by snow this morning following the biggest snowfall of 2020.
The sudden snow dump is leading to major travel disruption on the roads.
Motorists are being urged to take extreme care and allow plenty of time for travelling. The advice from AA Roadwatch is to “slow down and keep all manoeuvres gentle”.
Snow is affecting towns north, south, east and west in Donegal. Some of the worst-hit areas include the Barnesmore Gap, Letterkenny and Ballybofey.

A fallen tree is blocking traffic at Larkin’s Newmills.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the Back of Errigal.
McGrory’s Bray is down to one lane as a result of flooding.

Bus Eireann service users are warned to expect delays.
