Motorists are being advised to take extra care after heavy snow showers on the Ballybofey to Donegal road.
Slippery conditions have been reported on the Barnesmore Gap outside Donegal Town this lunchtime.
A Status Yellow Snow/Ice Warning is in place for the entire country valid until 9am tomorrow (26th).
Widespread showers of hail, sleet and possibly snow are expected to cause icy road conditions throughout the day.
