Large sum of cash taken in daylight burglary

Gardaí are investigating a burglary in which a substantial amount of cash was taken from a home in Redcastle, Inishowen.

A home at Lower Ballyargus was broken into and ransacked on Friday 21st February. The incident occurred during the daytime, between 11am and 3.15pm.

The burglar(s) gained entry by forcing open a door before searching the house.

They make off with a substantial sum of money.

Gardaí are now appealing to any member of the public who may be able to assist with the investigation. Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area or who has any information is asked to contact Buncrana garda station on  (074) 932 0540
