THE NORTH West Zones finals for boys and girls aged 14-17 were held at Letterkenny Boxing Club over the weekend.
Some 62 boxers took part, 49 male and 13 female. A total of 27 of the participants came from ten Donegal clubs with 35 coming from 11 clubs in Derry.
Two finals have been held over and will be boxed in Letterkenny on Tuesday night.
They are the boy 5 57kgs final between Thomas Brolly (St John’s, Derry) and Conleth McCann (Moneyglass) as well as the Boy 6 60kgs final between Cody Lee Peoples (Ballykelly) and Cahir Gormley (Illies Golden Gloves).
The North West Zones winners advance to the Ulster finals, where they will meet the Mid-Ulster winners.
The Ulster finals will be held on Sunday at Deele College, Raphoe. Weigh-in is from 9-10am with boxing getting underway at 11.30am.
