Declan Bonner hopeful on swift Jamie Brennan return for Tyrone

DECLAN Bonner is hopeful that Jamie Brennan will be back to face Tyrone on Saturday-week.

Brennan sat out Sunday’s win over Monaghan having picked up an injury in the game against Dublin the previous weekend.

However, the Bundoran man is poised to return in Ballybofey when Donegal go up against their Ulster SFC opponents Tyrone.

“It was touch and go for Jamie,” Bonner said on Sunday.

“He hasn’t been right. We thought that we might have got some time into him, but it didn’t work out.”

Odhrán McFadden-Ferry was forced off on Sunday in Ballyshannon with the early prognosis indicating a dead leg for the Gaoth Dobhair man.

McFadden-Ferry is also expected to be ready for the Red Hands.

Bonner has confirmed that none of Stephen McMenamin, Paddy McGrath, Jason McGee or Oisin Gallen will feature in the League. All four are gearing towards being primed to face Tyrone in the Championship in mid-May.
