Clothes extravaganza: Students offering ‘second chance’ to help charities

If you believe the best gift in life is a second chance, the students of St Columba’s College in Stranorlar might just be able to give you both.

The hard-working Transition Year students there have organised a ‘ second chance’ pop up sale of pre-loved items in need of new homes.

Donated items including good quality, ready to wear clothes, jewellery, shoes, bags, small furniture, books etc will be sold to raise funds for local charities, chosen by the students involved.

If you would like to contribute such items, drop off times have been arranged for Wednesday 4th March 1.30 – 3pm and Saturday 7th March, 10am – 2pm.

The students were inspired to take this action after studying ethical business models and ideas around sustainability and conservation.

This fashion extravaganza will take place in the College, Friday 27th March 9.05 – 4.05pm and Saturday 28th March, 10am – 8pm, with a coffee stall for shoppers pondering potential purchases! So, if you’re free and enjoy bagging a bargain, call in and see what catches your eye.
