Listen: Conor O’Donnell says Donegal U20s must show their ‘character’ in Ulster final

CONOR O’Donnell says Donegal Under-20s must dig deep and show their character in Saturday’s Ulster Under-20 final.

Donegal face Tyrone in Clones with the Ulster crown up for grabs.

“It’s a great opportunity to get,” he told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.

“It’s what we set out to do at the start of the year since we started training. We’ve worked hard to get ready for Saturday.”

Donegal have had to go to the well for a penalty shoot-out win over Monaghan and a narrow semi-final win over Down. Now, Tyrone stand in their way of provincial silverware.

The Dungloe man said: “We knew we let ourselves down on both days. Our own mistakes let us down, but we dug deep and got there in the end.

“There’s great character and depth in the team. We know when the backs are to the walls, the best comes out of us.

“We need to come prepared and bring a performance.”
