SHAUN Paul Barrett was offering no excuses as the Donegal Under-20s lost to Tyrone in today’s Ulster final at Clones.

Donegal went down 1-11 to 0-9 with Darragh Canavan’s goal the key score on a day when the tide ebbed in favour of the Red Hands in the second half.

‘“We just came up short,” Barrett told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.

“We just didn’t play well enough to win the game. We have no excuses. We came up short and the best team won on the day. We’re disappointed to concede 1-2 when Oisin (Walsh) was off.

“That was something we trained not to do – we lost our composure.”
