Minister for Education and Skills Joe McHugh T.D. has announced two Donegal schools have been approved for works.

The two schools are Scoil Roisin in Dungloe and Dunkineely NS.

The Minister said “I am delighted to follow up the weekend’s news of progress for three major projects and three extension and redevelopment works at schools in Donegal with more confirmed investment.

“Scoil Roisin Dungloe has got the go-ahead for works to reinsulate a roof and upgrade the heating system which will go some way to making the school more comfortable for pupils and staff.

“Elsewhere, Dunkineely NS will get some really important work done to upgrade the school fences to improve security.”

The projects were approved by the Department’s Buildings Unit under the Emergency Works programme.

Minister McHugh added: “The investment in our schools continues. I am delighted to see such vital projects being supported. And I am also keen to see the major projects for Glenswilly NS, Scoil Cholmcille Letterkenny and St Mary’s Stranorlar get underway in the coming weeks.”
