Ireland’s independent diagnostic imaging provider Affidea has announced that it will no longer accept patients with respiratory illness during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Affidea, which has a medical scanning facility in Letterkenny, will be turning away patients with respiratory infections at both their ExpressCare & Diagnostics clinics.
The restriction will be implemented “until further notice”, the company said.
“Anyone presenting with a respiratory type ailment will be asked to leave the premises and speak to their GP or directly with Public Health,” a notice said.
Affidea Ireland opened a clinic at Scally Place in Letterkenny in July 2016. The centre serves as a primary care diagnostic scanning facility, offering MRI, Ultrasound and X-ray.
