Injured woman airlifted from Lough Salt

A walker has been airlifted to hospital after being injured in the Lough Salt area this afternoon.

Members of the Donegal Mountain Rescue Team, the Mulroy Coastguard assisted by the Rescue 118 helicopter attended the scene.

The woman, who suffered a lower leg injury, was airlifted from the area and was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital.

Her exact condition is not yet known at this stage.

Members of both the Mulroy Rescue Coastguard, Donegal Mountain Rescue Team and Rescue 118 have now been stood down.
