It’s business as usual for a Letterkenny food delivery company as they cater to their foodie friends during the coronavirus pandemic.

Gloria Seasons meal deliveries are lending a helping hand to local families and individuals who want to eat well at home – and avoid cooking!

The Gloria Seasons van has been on the road for the past two years. But in the past week they have seen a high demand for their healthy, filling and delicious meals and meal plans, delivered to your door.

Chef and owner Alana Conaghan has implemented new precautions to ease customers’ minds during the Covid-19 outbreak – including drivers wearing gloves, cashless payment options or doorstep drop-offs. Their high hygiene standards remain the same in the kitchen as the team stays committed to making “Good Food, Made with Love.”

The business began in 2017 when Alana wanted to make work she enjoys fit around her own family life, whilst also helping others.

“Our Family Favourites dishes have become a staple part of many a home’s weekly dinner-options: Cottage Pie, Gloria Seasons Chicken Curry, Fish Pie & Lean Lasagne amongst others- vegan options also available,” she said.

“In our kitchen, we use local produce where possible, changing our menu in keeping with the seasons. Our seasonings of choice are as natural as possible, sometimes we use herbs/light spices to enhance the flavour of dishes, low-cal/low-fat ingredient choices as well as our own sauces.

“We often receive excellent feedback on our meals, those in-house sauces and our soups which are well-known both near and further afield.

“Some find it hard to believe the taste that can still be achieved leaving out any sugar, other ‘nasties’ and keeping salt at a minimum. Special dietary requirements are catered for on request.”

Customers make their weekly order before Thursday for the following week with no minimum order needed. For menus, please email gloriaseasons12@gmail.com or call 086 467 2000

“Other customers use our service on those weeks that are exceptionally hectic, easing the pressure a little, whilst others again grab a bucket of soup or few varied dishes when entertaining or having family over,” Alana said.

Gloria Seasons menus appeal to a wide range of individuals, while the idea first began with families in mind, Alana said: “How many other households struggled juggling the business of life? Trying to feed kids nutritious dinners as well as running from pillar to post each evening; from school runs to after school activities, homework, housework, shopping etc all after a day’s work?

“Individuals living alone, family members caring for elderly parents, people seeking naturally good food to help them lose weight/feel better, busy professionals, teachers/office workers in need of a change from canteen/sandwiches.

“Also those (& there are lots) who just hate cooking. The list goes on to the different categories of people our meal delivery service helps from week-to-week.

“Whatever the reason, we aim to bring consistent quality of really Good Food, Made with Love.”

Gloria Seasons will be out and about delivering throughout the isolation period, Alana said: “Look out for our Pop-Up Shops coming to a location near you soon- if we can make our offerings more easily accessible at this challenging time we most certainly will endeavour to.”
