A very pheasant morning on the shores of Lough Swilly!

Well-known Letterkenny-based photographer Brian McDaid was out and about early this morning.

And while they say the early bird catches the worm, Brian actually caught the bird instead.

Brian caught this stunning picture of a colourful wild pheasant in shrubbery along the shores of Lough Swilly near Newstowncunningham.

And yes, Brian kept the acceptable two metres away from his subject at all times!
